If you have a backup of your WhatsApp chat on your device and want it to restore to GBWhatsApp, then it is easy and simple to do it. Here are the simple steps on how to transfer WhatsApp messages to GBWhatsApp.

Step 1 : You need to back up your chats for the ‘’Normal WhatsApp’’ so when you switch to GB WhatsApp you will still have them.

Go to WhatsApp > tap More options> Settings > Chats > Chat backup > BACK UP.

Note: Please use Local back up. It is much safer to transfer your chats to GBWhatsApp.

Step 2: You can now install the GBWhatsApp apk you have downloaded.

Step 3: Launch your GBWhatsApp and tap Restore.

Step 4: After that, you will see the Local File. Choose the file you would like to restore on
your GBWhatsApp.

How to backup GBWhatsApp to Google Drive

In order to use Google Drive backup, you’ll need:
1. A Google account activated on your device.
2. Enough free space on your device to create the backup.
3. A strong and stable internet connection.

Step 1: Open GBWhatsApp.
Step 2: Tap on 3 dots>GB Settings > Backup & Restore
Step 3: Select the Google account you’d like to back up your chat history to.
Step 4: Tap Backup to Google and Select ”’Only when I tap ”Backup”.
Step 5: Tap Backup.

To hide a chat from chat list, you can use “Chat Lock“.

Steps to hide WhatsApp chats

Step 1: Tap the “WhatsApp” title on home screen.
Step 2: Set up the lock way.
Step 3: Now long press the chat you want to hide and hold the chat.
Step 4: Tap “Hide Chats” in the more menu.
Step 5: Enter your lock code and hide the selected chat in “Chat Lock”

Now, you can only see the hidden chat in “Chat Lock”

*Note: You will not receive the new message notification of chat in “Chat Lock”.

It’s hard to manage your chat if there are too many contacts and groups on the list. Separate the groups from the list is very helpful.

Step 1: Go to “GB Settings”

Step 2: Tap “Home Screen”

Step 3: Turn on “Separate Chats/Groups”

Here will be a new tab called “Group” on your home screen. You can manage your groups under this tab!

While you are sending messages to different contacts, probably you would like to give each of your chats a more distinctive flavor.  

To set up custom home screen wallpaper for a specific contact on GBWhatsApp, follow the steps below.

1. First of all, open the conversation/ chat screen of the person you want to change

2. Tap on the three dots at the top right corner and then tap Wallpaper.

3. Now tap on Change button. You will be taken to the wallpaper screen.

3. Then choose any wallpaper you want and click on Set Wallpaper button.

Note: Whenever you turn on DND mode, your GBWhatsApp will go offline. That means if you have Switched to DND mode and you will show offline even if your data is on.

Step 1: Open GBWhatsApp
Step 2: Tap on 3 dots>GB Settings > Home Screen
Step 3: Enable ”Show DND Mode shortcut un home screen”
Step 4 : Now, it will show you a confirmation message on the screen, you have to click “Yes“.
Step 5 : Finally, you will see the Airplane button in the Top Middle of the screen. Click the icon.
Step 6: Then, it will show you a confirmation message, you have to click ”ok”

Now you are not able to receive any messages, status or phone calls while DND mode is turned on.

Please note, if you received a notification that shows that your WhatsAppGB is going to expire, you’ll need to update the app. We encourage you to always use the latest version of GBWhatsApp. The latest versions contain the newest features and bug fixes.


Android Devices
Step 1: Open your GBWhatsApp
Step 2: Click the Three-Dot icon on the upper-right corner.
Step 3: Select GB Setting
Step 4: Click the “Upgrade GB” option. After clicking, the update will automatically download.
